We received the PetSafe Outdoor Ultrasonic Bark Deterrant yesterday. I ordered it with some skepticism because it sounded too good to be true but some of the positive reviews convinced me it was worth a try. I have used bark collars on our three dogs which work pretty well except for our large bulldog who is very stubborn. Our dogs run up to our fence which is right next to a sidewalk and bark at people walking by with or without dogs.
We tried it out first inside the house because it was raining outside, and it worked immediately. We have a new baby in the house and the dogs would bark when anyone would come to the door and wake the baby up. The first time someone rang the doorbell one of the dogs barked and then they all stopped. This is the second day and someone unexpectedly rang the doorbell and the dogs, who would usually run barking like crazy to the door, did not even get up to see who was at the door. We have had to work with it in the house because any sound was setting it off so we finally put it up high and turned it way down and now only barking will set it off. So, now we need to buy another one for outside.
Our dogs are 50 pounds, 80 pounds and 100 pounds and it works on all of them. I would highly recommend this product and I am ready to order a second one. |

Petsafe Outdoor Ultrasonic Bark Deterrent
Ok - we were very wary but at our wits end with the next door neighbours german sheppard. We just moved in and he had been barking the entire night and most of the day. We thought that the worst that could happen was that it would be a nice 'story' down the road. My husband went on the roof to get a good angle over the fence, and as usual, the dog was going mental. He touched the battery to the connectors and the dog immediately stopped - before he could even get the battery installed!! The dog barked again, and this time, he ran under his porch and just laid down - nice and quiet. We took the birdhouse back inside and turned it off. A few hours later, he heard the pump start up and started to bark again. We brought the birdhouse back outside and aimed it at the wall and again, he stopped. Best money we ever spent. However, back at our old house, the neighbours dog - a lab- did not like it but she took it as a challenge and would bark at it and then try to circle back around behind it. We could tell that it was working as she squinted at it but she continued to bark at it rather than what had originally set her off - which was just as good because then we could turn it off and she was fine. |

| I've had this for a couple of weeks now and have tried to remain optimistic, but it just isn't working with my dogs. Sure, if I stand by the birdhouse and I make a loud noise, it omits a tone that is obnoxious to the dogs so they walk away, but it doesn't catch their attention when they're barking at all. Actually, I've noticed that they tend to bark even more, as if they're trying to bark over it. This product gets two stars because I like the design. |

| We are surrounded by two homes. One of which has five dogs, the other two dogs. Needless to say, the barking has been nonstop. That is until we installed the PetSafet Outdoor Ultrasonic Bark Deterrent. Set up is a no brainer - really simple. The barking tapered off immediately. The dogs no longer spend hours on end barking. Sure they still bark - but they do not bark incessantly. We have gotten back our sanity; ahhhhh. Thank you! |

This product says it takes a couple weeks our dog understood in a couple hours this thing is amazing
