Ok to buy this product if you like to waste some money. Not effective and operates only with Alkaline battery.

My neighbor's dog always barks right on the other side of the fence when I'm outside. It's obnoxious. I try to have fun in the back yard with my wife and 3 year old daughter. We can't even talk, we have to scream over a stupid dog that won't shut up for 5 consecutive seconds. I saw the Dazer on Amazon and had to try it. The first time I tried it, the dog stood there wide-eyed. He ventured a short bark, it hit the button again, and he slinked over to the other side of the yard with his head and tail down. At last, I can enjoy my own back yard!!! I only have to use the Dazer about once an hour now. When he does bark, it's only one or two weak barks, not the full blast that just wouldn't stop like before. I can't speak for everybody everywhere, but this thing sure worked for me. It sure is nice to be able to enjoy my back yard again!

Doesn't faze my dog. If he does hear anything, its sure not meant to be an annoyance or loud. The app on my phone does a better job at getting his attention. My other dog, she's a puppy. She shows signs or possibly hearing it.

Got this for my two very loud chihuahuas. It works like magic on one of them (nothing else has ever worked to quiet her!), but it doesn't work on the other one- he obviously hears it because it makes him pause for a second, but then he just ignores it and goes on barking... Oh well, it's a start!
